Bolster Collaborative, a division of Vision Training Associates, was founded in 2013. We build on two decades of experience, including coordination of Search Institute’s® national training team from 2000 - 2013. Our work is steeped in that history and sustains our commitment to the Developmental Asset® framework as a central element of our orientation and approach.*
From 2008 to 2013, we were partners in an extensive National Institute of Drug Abuse study in the state of Maine, headed by the RAND Corporation. Since 2010 we have been a national partner of the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments (formerly Safe and Supportive Schools Technical Assistance Center). In this role we have developed numerous training toolkits that are available free of charge at the Center’s website.
Most recently, we became founding partners of Youth in Focus, a collaboration of six national organizations committed to bridging the research to practice gap. These partnerships strengthen our work and connect you to national experts in a wide array of specialty areas.
Bolster Collaborative and Vision Training Associates continue a rich history of offering high-quality resources based on the latest social science on Developmental Assets, positive youth development, and related science. Our goal is to engage and support professionals, volunteers, community members, and parents as collaborators in improving organizations and communities for young people.
